Meta Horizon+ subscriptions now grant users access to the Xbox Game Pass starter edition, which includes over 50 games for Meta Quest headset owners. This starter edition offers 10 hours of cloud gaming per month for playing titles directly on the virtual reality headset.
Subscribers can also download games from the Game Pass library to their PC or Xbox console for unlimited play. Notable titles included in the starter edition are Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Grounded, Overcooked 2, DayZ, Deep Rock Galactic, and SnowRunner.
The Game Pass starter edition supports cloud saves, allowing gamers to continue their progress seamlessly across devices. Online multiplayer is available for both cloud and PC gaming, and users can stream select games they already own through the service.
When streaming a Game Pass title on a Quest headset, players can choose from multiple virtual display sizes, with options extending up to 26 feet. An Xbox-themed immersive space is also available for gaming experiences.
Users have the option to connect traditional controllers to their headsets. In upcoming weeks, Meta Quest Touch controllers will gain the ability to emulate an Xbox gamepad. The option to stream games has been available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers using Meta Quest headsets for several years.
In a related move, Xbox recently partnered with Discord to provide Nitro subscribers with a similar Game Pass starter pack.
