WhatsApp is developing an in-app noise cancellation feature for voice and video calls, currently available in the latest beta version for Android users, according to WABetaInfo.
The feature aims to enhance call clarity by automatically filtering out background noise, which could be beneficial in noisy environments such as traffic or crowded places. Users will have the ability to enable or disable the feature within the call menu, where it will be turned on by default.
This noise cancellation feature is being gradually rolled out to beta testers. If successful during testing, it is expected to be available to all WhatsApp users on Android in the coming weeks or months.
