A recent filing in China’s 3C database has revealed updated battery specifications for the upcoming Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max, suggesting the eSIM model will feature a battery capacity of 5,567 mAh. In contrast, the physical SIM tray model is expected to house a 5,391 mAh battery.
These revelations are based on information shared by tipster Digital Chat Station. Previously reported rumors estimated the eSIM model would have a 5,425 mAh battery, while the physical SIM version was thought to pack a 5,235 mAh battery.
Apple typically markets eSIM-only iPhones in the United States, while regions such as China receive models equipped with a physical SIM tray. If the 3C database figures are accurate, the eSIM-only iPhone 18 Pro Max will see a 479 mAh increase in battery capacity compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The physical SIM model will experience a 568 mAh boost over its predecessor.
In addition, the battery details for the iPhone 18 Pro indicate that the eSIM model will include a 4,288 mAh battery, while the physical SIM version will have a capacity of 4,056 mAh. This marks an increase from the iPhone 17 Pro’s eSIM, which was equipped with a 4,252 mAh battery, and its physical SIM counterpart, which had a 3,998 mAh battery.
