Google will host its next Pixel event on August 12, starting at 6 PM ET, to announce the next generation of its Pixel devices. The company is conducting the launch in the evening to accommodate work schedules, differing from previous years.
This year’s event is anticipated to be subdued due to widespread memory shortages that have elevated consumer electronics prices. Reports indicate that Google will not offer a 128GB variant of the new Pixel phones, with base models starting instead at 256GB.
Google is expected to increase the prices of the new phone models compared to earlier versions. A recent leak suggested a possible reduction in RAM for some configurations, but this rumor has not gained significant traction.
Google will reportedly update the Pixel 10’s Tensor processor, though the anticipated updates appear to be minor. Reliable insights regarding the new Pixel devices will be clearer after the event on August 12.
