Apple plans to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at a forthcoming event that is expected to include the company’s first foldable phone, rumored to be named iPhone Ultra. Mark Gurman reported that Apple is likely to schedule the event for the first Tuesday or Wednesday after Labor Day in the United States, with September 8 as the most probable date and September 9 as a potential alternative.
If the event occurs on September 9, pre-orders for the new devices may begin the following day, September 10. Sales are anticipated to start later in September, consistent with Apple’s historical launch timeline.
The foldable phone is projected to feature a book-like design, using an A20 Pro processor and incorporating a side-mounted Touch ID. Further leaks indicate that the device will include a Samsung M16 OLED display for the outer screen and an M14 OLED for the inner display. Additionally, it is expected to come with a dual 48 MP rear camera and 12 GB of RAM.
Recent price increases for Apple’s Mac and iPad products have raised speculation that the iPhone 18 Pro series may also be priced higher than previous models. However, Apple has not yet released any official information regarding the pricing of the new devices.
