Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is reportedly set to launch on November 14, 2025, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, according to prominent leaker billbil-kun from Dealabs. Conspicuously absent from the initial launch lineup is a Nintendo Switch 2 version, despite Microsoft’s previous commitment to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms “on the same day as Xbox, with full feature and content parity” following its acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
During its reveal at Summer Games Fest, the lack of a Nintendo Switch 2 version was noted, raising questions about Microsoft’s promise. However, sources have confirmed to Eurogamer that both teams are “committed to getting the franchise on Switch” and are actively “working on it,” with details to be shared when available.
Further details regarding the game’s release are expected to be confirmed at Gamescom next week. This includes information on a physical release with a disc, and the opening of pre-orders on August 20, following a reveal event at Opening Night Live the night before. While U.S. and UK pricing remains unconfirmed, the leaker suggests a retail price of €79.99 in Europe. Microsoft had previously pledged not to raise prices above $70 USD.
In related news, former Activision Blizzard president Mike Ybarra has voiced his opinion that Battlefield 6 will “boot stomp” Call of Duty this year, potentially pushing the CoD series to overcome what he described as “lazy” development practices.
