How to uninstall apps on Android?

From the home screen or app drawer

If you find yourself on the home screen or in the app drawer and you see an app that you no longer want to have, the first way to uninstall it is to press and hold the app and drag the icon to the trash can. The Uninstall option usually appears at the top of the home screen.

From shortcut menu

If you are on the shortcut menu, you only have to click on the ‘Application information’ option to access the ‘Uninstall’ option.

From the recents screen

You can also uninstall apps from the recent screen. To do this we just have to press and hold the application icon and then click on ‘Application information’. You can find ‘Uninstall’ option there.

From notifications

You can decide to uninstall an application when you receive a notification from that specific application. To do this we just have to perform a long press on the notification and then tap on the Settings icon to enter the notification settings. Then we have to tap on the application icon. We are already inside the application information to be able to uninstall the application.

From the settings

System settings section is the best way to review all the applications we have installed. Since there are some applications as add-ons to other applications that do not appear in the app drawer. In Settings > Applications or Settings > Applications and notifications, we can access the information of each of the installed applications.

From Play Store

Google Play Store is the most common way to uninstall an application, especially from the ‘My apps and games’ section. Just find the uninstall option.

Uninstalling several applications at the same time

Finally, the section ‘My applications and games’, in the tab Installed > Storage allows us to free up space by uninstalling several applications at once. To do this we just have to mark the applications we want to delete.
