Disney Plus Day: Date, new releases and more

On September 8, Disney will hold a unique occasion called Disney Plus Day to commemorate its streaming service. The 2022 Disney D23 Expo, scheduled for September 9–11 at the Anaheim Convention Center, will immediately follow this year’s event.

Disney has already disclosed several of the new movies and shows that will debut on Disney Plus as part of the celebration, but fans and subscribers can expect a flurry of announcements to emerge on Disney Plus Day and the D23 weekend.

Will there be any subscription deals on Disney Plus Day?

As part of a unique Disney+ Day promotion, new and qualified returning Disney Plus users will be able to acquire one month of subscription for $2. That represents a $6 discount from the monthly cost.
