Apple plans to refresh the entry-level MacBook Pro in the first half of 2027. According to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, this update will include a new design for the 14-inch model that aligns with the aesthetics of higher-end MacBook computers expected to be unveiled later in the fall.
Additionally, the anticipated lineup may feature Apple’s first touchscreen MacBook, linked to the upcoming M6 laptop generation, sources indicated. Alongside the new MacBook, Apple is also testing four new iPad Pro models, focusing on performance enhancements while retaining existing sizes of 11 inches and 13 inches.
Spring has emerged as a significant time for Apple to unveil its entry-level and budget products, often accompanied by unexpected announcements. In spring 2026, Apple introduced the MacBook Neo, along with new iPhones, iPads, and MacBook Pros.
Looking ahead, spring 2027 is expected to be busy for Apple, potentially featuring announcements for five new products. Expected items include the base model of the iPhone 18 and an update to the iPhone Air. Speculation suggests that Apple may skip the usual Pro and Max designations with the introduction of M7 silicon.
