Discord is expanding its Nitro program by introducing new perks, including a “starter edition” of Xbox Game Pass. This new offering resembles the Essential tier of the service and provides access to over 50 console and PC games such as Fallout 4, Stardew Valley, DayZ, Deep Rock Galactic, Overcooked 2, and Grounded.

The Game Pass starter edition grants subscribers 10 hours of cloud gaming access per month, while the Essential tier offers unlimited cloud gaming. Users can also stream select games from their Xbox library and earn Xbox rewards. Nitro subscribers without an existing Xbox Game Pass subscription can take advantage of this starter edition offer.

The starter edition will initially roll out in several countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

This initiative is part of a new Nitro Rewards program commemorating the 10th anniversary of Nitro. Discord plans to gradually make the perks available to all eligible subscribers over the next several weeks. The Nitro subscription price remains unchanged at $10 per month or $100 annually, with Nitro Basic and Nitro Classic tiers excluded from these rewards.

Additional perks include discounts on select gaming brands, with 30% off Logitech G, 15% off SteelSeries, and 20% off KontrolFreek gear. Subscribers will also have enhanced opportunities to earn Orbs, which can be used to customize avatars and profiles.

Furthermore, Microsoft is set to provide Discord Nitro benefits to Xbox Game Pass subscribers starting in May. Game Pass subscribers will receive 250 Discord Orbs monthly, additional Orbs for completing Quests, and discounts in the Discord shop.
