Google announced the introduction of Gemini’s Personal Intelligence feature with Nano Banana-powered image generation, enabling users to create images tailored to their preferences without explicit prompts.

This development allows users to generate images using data from their connected Google accounts, including Gmail and Google Photos. Users can simplify their requests to a phrase such as “Design my dream home” rather than detailing their specific interests.

The Nano Banana connection leverages labels from Google Photos, recognizing descriptors like “Family.” For instance, users can request, “Generate an image of my family and me doing our favorite activity.”

A “sources” button will indicate how Gemini derived the context for the generated images. Users can also provide feedback, correcting any inaccuracies in context provided by Gemini, and submit reference photos by clicking the “+” icon.

The new image-generation feature will be available to Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers in the U.S. within the coming days. Google plans to extend this functionality to Gemini in Chrome desktop and to additional users soon. Personal Intelligence was initially launched earlier this year, becoming available to all U.S. users in March. The feature has recently been expanded to more users in countries such as India and Japan.
