Supergiant’s “Hades 2” will release on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on April 14, following an announcement at an Xbox Partner Preview showcase.

The console release expands the availability of the roguelite action RPG, which previously launched on PC and Nintendo Switch, to a broader gaming audience. The game will also be accessible on Xbox Game Pass and will support Xbox Cloud gaming.

According to Kris Holt, the title was first released in full version for PC and Nintendo Switch in September after more than a year in Steam early access. Players control Melinoë, sister to the original game’s protagonist, Zagreus. Melinoë features a longer dash, a sprint ability, and a focus on area-of-effect attacks.

The game includes tough bosses across two paths, animal familiars, modifiable weapons, and romantic subplots.
