Disney+ began rolling out Verts, its short-form video feed, to U.S. users on its mobile app.

The feature aims to boost daily engagement and reach mobile-first viewers across Disney+’s catalog. Disney stated Verts offers a fast way to explore its catalog and brings storytelling into a mobile-friendly format.

Users access Verts via a new icon in the app’s navigation bar. They can swipe through clips, add shows to their watchlist, or jump directly into content.

The company wrote in a blog post that Verts makes it easier for fans to discover what to watch next. It stated the feed brings Disney’s storytelling into a format that feels modern and engaging.

Verts will eventually feature content from creators that reflects fandoms. Disney said the feed will include other storytelling formats, content types, and personalized experiences.

Early testing in August on Disney+ and ESPN showed Verts drove additional engagement. The company attributed this engagement to its advanced recommendation algorithm for Verts.

Netflix launched a vertical feed last year, letting users scroll through clips from its original titles. Disney+ and Netflix target younger, mobile-first users with short-form video to convert clip interest into full watches.
