Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 on Wednesday as part of its Galaxy Unpacked event. The announcement follows numerous leaks about the smartwatch, including renderings by Evan Blass on his Substack, Leakmail.
Earlier this month, Android Headlines provided a first look at the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 design. The leaked renderings reveal an improved IP69K dust- and water-resistance rating, an upgrade from the IP68 rating of the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra. Additionally, the new model is reported to be 12% thinner than its predecessor.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is claimed to feature an 800 mAh battery, an increase from the 590 mAh battery in the previous model. The display is anticipated to be significantly brighter, reaching up to 5,000 nits compared to the 3,000 nits of the earlier version.
In terms of performance, Blass states the watch will run on the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip, aligning with other leaks which indicate that the upcoming Galaxy Watch 9 will also utilize the same chipset. Final confirmation on specifications and price points for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is expected during the announcement on Wednesday.
