According to a report by Counterpoint Research, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 family outsold the Galaxy S24 series based on sales figures from February to December of their respective release years. Galaxy S25 devices sold 5% more than the Galaxy S24 phones during that period. The Galaxy S25 Ultra specifically sold 7% more than the S24 Ultra.

Sales for the Galaxy S25 family started below the S24 series in February, matched them in March, and exceeded them through December. The Galaxy S25 Ultra experienced month-over-month sales increases in July and October, ending the year ranked among the top 10 best-selling smartphones of 2025.

The Ultra model remains the dominant seller within Samsung’s flagship family. The S24 Ultra accounted for 45% of its family’s sales, while the S25 Ultra represented 46%. The base S25 model held 35% of sales compared to 36% for the base S24. Both the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S25+ each represented 19% of their respective family’s total sales.
