Apple is rumored to be releasing a new “Crossbody Strap” designed for the iPhone 17 family, anticipated to be unveiled on September 9. The strap is designed to be compatible with the iPhone 17 cases, which are rumored to feature specific holes for the strap’s integration.

According to leaked information, the strap incorporates an “innovative system” with a flexible metal core, making it fully magnetic along its entire length. The strap’s ends are designed with oppositely polarized rings to create a strong magnetic closure, ensuring a secure hold. This magnetic mechanism aims to simplify the attachment and detachment process, removing the need for traditional hooks or loops.

The strap is expected to be manufactured using woven nylon, allegedly similar to the material used in Apple’s Sport Loop Bands. A silicone version of the strap might also be available, potentially offering a softer feel and increased flexibility. Color options for the strap are likely to match those of the iPhone 17 cases.

Production of the Crossbody Strap has reportedly begun, indicating that it will likely be available next month in conjunction with the release of the new iPhones and their corresponding cases.
