Elden Ring legendary weapons and armaments locations
These weapons are often hard to find or received as rewards for beating some of the tougher bosses in the game. Finding all of them will reward you with an achievement or trophy called Legendary Armaments. This page lists the locations of all such weapons you can find in Elden Ring.
Grafted Blade Greatsword
- The skill of the weapon: Oath of Vengeance – Swear an oath upon the greatsword to avenge the clan, temporarily raising all attributes and poise for a short duration.
The Grafted Blade Greatsword can be acquired by defeating the Castle Morne dungeon’s Leonine Misbegotten boss in the Weeping Peninsula region. This enemy may be found on the castle’s west side, behind the ramparts, and down to the shore outside of prison cells below.
Sword of Night and Flame
- The skill of the weapon: Night and Flame Stance – Hold the sword level and prepare to cast a sorcery. Follow up with a normal attack to cast the Night Comet sorcery, or a strong attack to sweep forward with a burst of flames.
The Sword of Night and Flame can be taken from the Caria Manor dungeon which is located in the northern part of the West Liurnia Region. It’s in a locked tower, which you’ll have to jump down from the upper manor ramparts and explore the lower roofs below for a trapdoor into the structure.
Ruins Greatsword
- The skill of the weapon: Wave of Destruction – Raise the sword up high, then strike it against the ground to fire off a wave of gravitational force.
The Ruins Greatsword is obtained by defeating the mid-boss duo comprised of the Misbegotten Warrior and Crucible Knight inside Redmane Castle, in the far southeast region of Caelid. The two bosses are located at the festival site in the middle of the castle where NPCs gather during the festival.

Marais Executioner’s Sword
- The skill of the weapon: Eochaid’s Dancing Blade – Infuse the sword with energy, then fling it forwards in a corkscrew attack. The sword continuously deals damage while violently spinning. Charge the attack to increase the reach and duration of the spin.
The Marais Executioner’s Sword can be won by vanquishing Elemer of the Briar, the final boss of Shaded Castle, a subterranean labyrinth located at Mt Gelmir’s far northeast edge where it borders Altus Plateau, which is surrounded by a vast poisonous moat. After navigating the ramparts into the inner castle area and defeating your opponent, you may discover the boss in a lift near the back end of the castle.
Dark Moon Greatsword
- The skill of the weapon: Moonlight Greatsword – Raise the sword aloft, bathing it in the light of the dark moon. Temporarily increases magic attack power and imbues the blade with frost. Charged attacks release blasts of moonlight.
The Dark Moon Greatsword can be acquired by finishing the Ranni the Witch’s Questline. Players can find this quest at the Moonlight Altar in West Liurnia’s southwest mountaintop, which can only be accessed via Ranni’s Questline.
You first need to access Nokstella, Eternal City, and the Lake of Rot and after defeating Astel, Naturalborn of the Void you will use the key given to you by Ranti to unlock the chest in Lucaria Academy’s Grand Library. In this chest, you will find a Dark Moon Ring to break the seal at the back of the boss chamber to reach the Moonlight Altar. Then, head to the large Cathedral of Manus Celes and find Ranni. She will abandon the blade when she vanishes.
Bolt of Gransax
- The skill of the weapon: Ancient Lightning Spear – Imbue the armament with the ancient dragons’ red lightning, then throw it as a spear. Can be charged to increase its power.
The Gransax Bolt can be found in Lenydell, the Royal Capital – the legacy dungeon on the east side of the Altus Plateau beyond the Capital Outskirts. After defeating Godfrey, First Elden Lord, go down to using the west elevator and the weapon will be there.
Eclipse Shotel
- The skill of the weapon: Death Flare – Set the lusterless sun ablaze with the Prince of Death’s flames, inflicting the death ailment upon foes. Follow up with an additional input to bring down the armament, triggering an explosion.
The Eclipse Shotel may be found in Castle Sol, a vast dungeon that resides in the far north part of the Mountains of the Giants. It’s on top of an altar inside the huge church that occupies the southeast side of the castle.
Devourer’s Scepter
- The skill of the weapon: Devourer of Worlds – Charge the scepter with magic and strike it against the ground to steal the HP of all nearby enemies.
The Devourer’s Scepter can be found by defeating Knight Berenahl, the Warmaster merchant who will appear in Crumbling Faram Azula when you finish the quest. He will come to kill you after you have completed the Great Bridge Site of Grace on the north side of the area, on his way to Crumbling Faram Azula.
Golden Order Greatsword
- The skill of the weapon: Establish Order – Raise the armament in a salute, releasing a golden explosion. Repeated inputs send out waves of golden light.
The Misbegotten Crusader boss of the Cave of the Forlorn dungeon, an optional mini-dungeon located in the Consecrated Snowfield, which is a secret optional region north of the Erdtree and capital, can be unlocked via a Secret Haligtree Medallion. The cave itself may be found south of the Minor Erdtree in this area, and it has an Imp Statue Seal that needs 2 Stonesword Keys to unlock.
