The iOS 15.4 update includes 40+ new emojis, bringing the total number of available icons to over 120.
The non-standard Handshake emojis with one of the hands lacking a skin tone modifier are listed by Emojiipedia as follows: “There are 10 non-standard Handshake emoji combinations in which neither hand has a skin tone modifier.” There have also been modifications to the standard handshake emoticons, including more skin tones. A slew of new motions and shakes were added to the mix, such as palm up palm down index finger point.

The update adds seven new smiley emoji, including the melting face, which have been seen on Late Night with Stephen Colbert and the New York Times’s front page. Apple has also added a variety of skin tones, a snarling lip, and a troll to the mix.
Among the more unique features are coral, an ID card, bubbles, a hamsa, a jar slide, and more.
