Google Drive improves its search function in iOS and Android.
All users who create a new Gmail account automatically get 15GB of space in the Google cloud. So it is a popular tool but it still give us a hard time when it comes to organizing its content. So it’s not surprising that Google decided to optimize the Drive search function even further.
Google Drive search improves in iOS and Android apps
Google has published an update on its official blog about changes in the search. And as far as we can see, these changes not only affect the files we store there but any item that could be related to what we need.
The search covers the contacts, which will also appear mainly linked to the shared documents. And it can be used either from a computer or from a mobile device with iOS or Android.
In addition to those results focused on what we are looking for, Google Drive will also suggest us as we type in the text box. Just like when we open Chrome and type a few letters in Google.

This new improvement will allow us to reach our data easily. Google says this update is caused by Covid-19, in which “more people need to do their work even when they are away from their desk. Finding files quickly and easily on your phone helps ensure that you can still share, review, collaborate, and create, wherever you are.”
As always, this update will be arriving over the next few days.
