Meta has released a new app called Pocket, designed for users to create generative AI games through a process termed vibe-coding. Mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi discovered the app and shared its existence on X. According to AppFigures, Pocket became available on both iOS and Android platforms on June 29.

Despite being listed publicly, Pocket is currently not accessible in the US on several phone models linked to TechCrunch’s Google accounts. A help page on Meta’s site states, “the Pocket app is not yet available everywhere.” Meta has not issued any formal announcement about the app’s launch or its trial locations.

Reports from TechCrunch suggest that Pocket may have been developed by a team previously associated with Gizmo, an app focused on creating AI-driven interactive experiences. The Pocket app description refers to its purpose as “a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos,” which aligns with Gizmo’s branding. Furthermore, the Play Store shortcode for Pocket is “com.facebook.gizmo,” reinforcing this connection.
