Tesla has launched the Model Y Long Wheelbase in the US and Puerto Rico, now accepting orders for the vehicle. This version features a three-row, six-seat configuration and includes heated seats along with touchscreen displays for both the first and second rows.

The Model Y Long Wheelbase has a six-inch wheelbase extension compared to standard US Model Y variants. Tesla reports that despite this arrangement, the trunk can accommodate both a 28-inch and a 20-inch suitcase, while the frunk can hold an additional 20-inch suitcase.

Both the second and third rows are equipped with a one-touch fold feature. The second row includes powered armrests, and the third row offers power recline. Both rows also have side airbags that are optimized for passenger safety. Seats come with either 50W charging pads or charging ports.

This model has a range of 325 miles, which is just two miles shorter than the Premium non-Long Wheelbase version. It can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Buyers will receive 12 months of free access to Supervised Full Self Driving, after which the service will cost $99 per month, as well as 12 months of free Supercharging.

The base price of the Model Y Long Wheelbase is set at $61,990, which is approximately $22,000 more than the standard Model Y and $12,000 more than the non-Long Wheelbase Premium variant. Tesla plans to begin delivering the vehicles between September and October 2023.
