Google announced updates to its Ads Advisor tool, which leverages artificial intelligence to assist marketers in optimizing Google Ads campaigns. Launched in November, Ads Advisor aims to enhance campaign management by learning from prior interactions and providing context-specific recommendations.

The updates expand the tool’s capabilities to include proactive troubleshooting for policy violations and personalized guidance for potential ad issues. Google stated that the introduction of Real-Time Policy Reviews will deliver immediate, in-workflow support as users create and edit campaigns.

Ads Advisor will also function as an end-to-end policy troubleshooter, proactively scanning ad accounts for fixes and offering resolution paths. The system may take action on some concerns independently, improving efficiency for advertisers.

Additionally, Google incorporated advanced security monitoring into Ads Advisor, which will provide custom profile suggestions. According to Google, “Ads Advisor will soon monitor your account around the clock and share personalized recommendations, like reviewing flagged domains and dormant users.”

A new security insights dashboard and the integration of passkeys to Google Ads aim to enhance account protection further. Ads Advisor will also streamline the certification process by automatically identifying when a business requires a Google certificate, reducing what typically takes weeks of paperwork to instant approvals.

Google emphasized that while automating these processes, Ads Advisor will always seek marketer approval before enacting changes in their accounts. The tool maintains a complete change history to ensure advertisers understand the rationale behind each optimization. These features intend to simplify Google Ads management and keep marketers informed about optimization options and issues.
