Google announced that Fitbit users in 37 countries can now access the AI-powered personal health coach feature. The expansion includes Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Taiwan.

The rollout will occur as an update to the Fitbit app “over the coming weeks.” Users in these regions will be required to join the public preview program to access the feature, with prompts appearing in the Fitbit app itself.

The personal health coach utilizes AI to assist users in creating tailored plans, setting fitness goals, tracking progress, generating workout routines, and providing detailed sleep analytics. It also now includes VO2 Max, previously known as Cardio Fitness Score, alongside AI-powered insights.

The feature supports 32 languages, including German, Hindi, Polish, Swedish, Spanish, and Chinese. Users who enroll in the public preview are likely to benefit from an enhanced user interface.

The revamped Fitbit app can integrate data from third-party applications via Health Connect, leading to more personalized recommendations and comprehensive insights based on users’ overall health data. However, some features of the personal health coach remain unavailable at this time.
