Netflix has launched a new app named Netflix Playground for iPhone and iPad that features ad-free games designed primarily for younger children.
The app includes seven mini games that cater specifically to kids, with content from popular franchises like Dr. Seuss, Peppa Pig, and Sesame Street. Netflix Playground allows users to download each game individually for offline access, broadening its appeal to parents seeking engaging activities for their children.
The seven available mini games are: Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish, which includes musical play zones; Dr. Seuss’s Horton!, promoting creativity through interactive gameplay in a jungle environment; Bad Dinosaurs, featuring puzzles and music with Janet and her dinosaurs; Sesame Street, focusing on pattern and object recognition; Dr. Seuss’s The Sneetches, which includes creative play activities; Peppa Pig, where kids can count and decorate cakes; and StoryBots, enhancing memory and musical skills.
Netflix has stated its plans to expand the library with additional titles throughout the year. Upcoming games will include content from Gabby’s Dollhouse, KPop Demon Hunters, PJ Masks, My Little Pony, and PAW Patrol.
Access to Netflix Playground is included with all membership tiers, meaning users are not restricted to ad-free or premium subscriptions. Once downloaded, each mini game is available for offline play.
Additional details about Netflix Playground can be found in the official announcement, and the app is now available for download from the App Store.
