Knowing where to go in Crimson Desert is the difference between a smooth start and getting lost in the massive open world of Pywel from the very beginning.
A gamers guide on where to go in Crimson Desert
The world is huge and you can technically run anywhere you see, but that is a quick way to get overwhelmed and run out of bag space. Crimson Desert gives you the best rewards like inventory expansions and new skills if you just stick to the main story for a little while. Every quest you finish in the early chapters adds three extra slots to your bag, and trust me, you are going to need them. There is no point in finding cool loot if you have to >> hoard loot and gear because your pockets are full. Focus on the main path until you hit the end of chapter three to get the most out of your time.
By the time you reach that point, you will have the best traversal tools in the game. You get the Flight ability and the Axiom Hand, which make moving around much faster than just running or jumping. You can use Flight to drop down from the Abyss and reach your destination in half the time. This makes the lack of fast travel points much easier to deal with. If you are debating where to go first, just follow the gold markers on your map until your kit is fully fleshed out. You will thank yourself later when you are >> soaring over the terrain instead of slowly climbing every single cliff face in your way in Crimson Desert.
- Invest abyss artifacts into the stamina tree until level 4.
- Farm bandits in the House Serkis quest for extra artifacts.
- Loot bandit camps for free meat and cooking essentials.
Hunting bandits and boosting your stamina
Stamina is your most important stat when it comes to getting around. Your starting bar is pretty low, so spend your first abyss artifacts to get your stamina up to at least level 4. This lets you use those cool traversal skills without constantly stopping to catch your breath. After you deal with Matthias, go ahead and start the House Serkis questline. It is a great way to fight bandits who drop abyss artifacts and have plenty of loot for you to sell. Just avoid the quarry until you have better gear, because it is packed with enemies that hit hard. Knowing where to go and when to fight is the secret to dominating the early game in Crimson Desert.
