Apple plans to maintain the entry-level iPhone price at $599 for the iPhone 17e, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman. In his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman stated the iPhone 17e is “due imminently” and will match the price of its predecessor, the iPhone 16e.

The device includes several upgrades. It supports MagSafe charging and features the A19 chip used in the base iPhone 17 model. Apple equips the iPhone 17e with its latest in-house cellular and wireless chips.

Gurman positions the iPhone 17e to rival Google’s Pixel 10a. Apple targets emerging economies and enterprise customers with this model. The company faces heightened competition in overseas markets, though iPhone sales are rebounding in China. Apple anticipates robust iPhone sales across Asia, with particular strength in China and India.
