Method 1: On Android using the Zedge app

  • Open the Google Play Store.
  • Typezedge in the search bar and tap the search icon.
  • TapZedge Wallpapers & Ringtones, which has a purple icon with a white stylized D, then tap Install.
  • Open the Zedge app and follow on-screen prompts to agree to terms.
  • Tap the X in the top-right to skip the paid subscription ad if desired.
  • Tap the three horizontal lines menu icon in the top-left corner.
  • SelectRingtones.
  • Browse categories or tap the magnifying glass icon to search, then tap a ringtone to preview it.
  • Tap the Play button to listen; tap the X or swipe left to return or see similar tones.
  • TapSet. For premium tones, watch an ad to earn credits if prompted.
  • SelectSet ringtone for your main ringtone, or choose Set contact ringtone, Set alarm sound, or Set notification.
  • Tap Allow when prompted to let Zedge save files and modify system settings.

  • Open the App Store, search for GarageBand, and tap Get to install if needed.

  • OpenSettings > Sounds > Ringtone and select your new ringtone.

Method 3: On a computer using Zedge.net and iTunes/Apple Music

  • Open your web browser and go to Zedge.net.
  • Click the Ringtones tab or use the search bar, then click a ringtone.
  • Click the Play button to preview.
  • Click the purple Download button in the top-right; wait 10 seconds and save the file.
  • OpeniTunes (Windows, from Start menu) or Music (Mac, Dock icon).
  • Drag the file to the Songs section in the Library, or go to File > Add file to library.
  • Right-click the track, select Song info, rename if desired, and click OK.
  • In iTunes, go to Edit > Preferences > General tab > Import settings, set Import using to AAC encoder, and click OK.
  • Select the song, go to File > Convert > Create AAC version.
  • Locate the new .m4a file in File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac), and rename the extension to .m4r.
  • Connect your iPhone via USB cable.
  • In iTunes, click your iPhone icon, drag the .m4r file to the Tones section, and sync.
  • On your iPhone, openSettings > Sounds > Ringtone and select the new ringtone.
