Sony has officially announced the Xperia 10 VII, a new mid-range smartphone featuring a redesigned rear camera module and several hardware improvements. The device showcases a horizontally aligned, pill-shaped camera module reminiscent of Pixel designs, housing a 50MP Sony Exmor RS main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide lens. An 8MP front-facing camera is included for selfies.
The Xperia 10 VII sports a 6.1-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Internally, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage (up to 2TB via microSD). The smartphone runs on a 5,000mAh battery.
The device ships with Android 15 and is promised to receive four years of OS updates and six years of security patches. Software features include Circle to Search and Google Gemini. Additional hardware features include dual front-facing speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated camera shutter button, and an IP65/68 water- and dust-resistance rating. The phone measures 8.3mm in thickness and weighs 168g.
Available in White, Turquoise, and Charcoal black, the Xperia 10 VII is priced at €449 (approximately $525 USD). Pre-orders are currently open, with shipping scheduled for September 19.
