YouTube Music is reportedly testing a new personalized music recommendation feature called “Your Daily Discover.” This feature aims to streamline music discovery by offering daily recommendations based on a user’s listening habits, appearing as a more focused alternative to existing automatic suggestions like covers and audiobooks.

The “Your Daily Discover” section has been observed on the YouTube Music app’s homepage. Reddit user u/One_Flow_8127 spotted the feature on the iOS app, where it appears above the “Trending songs for you” section after scrolling down the main feed. Screenshots indicate recommendations are presented in a horizontal carousel format, allowing users to browse individual tracks rather than full playlists. Each recommended track includes a brief note explaining the reason behind the suggestion, and a “Play All” button allows users to compile the suggested songs into a fresh playlist for immediate listening.

This feature was first identified approximately a month prior on YouTube Music for Android by Reddit user BarisberatWNR, though its placement on the homepage differed. This suggests YouTube may be experimenting with various layouts to optimize user engagement. The “Your Daily Discover” feature is currently being rolled out to a limited number of users, with many in the original Reddit thread reporting they do not yet have access.

The new tool is designed to assist users in discovering new artists and music that closely align with their tastes. This move positions YouTube Music to more directly compete with rivals like Spotify, which already offers a similar “Discover Picks For You” carousel on its homepage.
