Samsung has made significant progress in resolving the issues surrounding the global launch of its Good Lock application, enhancing both its functionality and availability.
When Samsung initially released Good Lock globally, the launch was marred by problems, including errors during the installation of specific modules and limited availability restricted to the Galaxy Store. The app’s rollout has now been improved, with previously unavailable modules becoming accessible through the Good Lock app.
A couple of the modules that were initially unobtainable are now available through the Good Lock app. Specifically, the Nice Shot and Keys Cafe modules can be downloaded, marking a significant improvement from the initial launch where they were missing. Despite this progress, Good Lock still occasionally displays the “Something went wrong. Try again later” error upon launch.
The availability of Good Lock has also been expanded. Users of Galaxy devices can now download the app from both the Galaxy Store and the Google Play Store, providing greater flexibility. However, it’s worth noting that the same behavior and errors are experienced regardless of the download source. This means that users who have already acquired Good Lock from Samsung’s Galaxy Store might not need to switch to the Play Store version, as it doesn’t appear to make a difference in terms of functionality or error resolution.
As of the latest update, certain modules continue to exhibit installation errors. The Dropship, Galaxy To Share, and RegiStar modules are still affected by this issue, indicating that some work remains to be done to fully resolve the problems associated with Good Lock.
The fixes for Good Lock coincide with other significant developments for Samsung device users. The company has resumed the rollout of the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series in Korea, following a temporary halt for reasons that are not immediately clear. This development suggests that Samsung is actively addressing various software-related issues across its product lineup.
While some issues with Good Lock persist, the progress made so far is promising. Users experiencing difficulties with the currently problematic modules are advised to check the app frequently for updates, as it’s likely that the remaining issues will be addressed soon.
