The sequel to the game “Moonlighter,” titled “Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault,” is set to be released in the summer of 2025, as revealed during the recent Triple-I showcase.

The game is developed by Digital Sun, a studio based in Spain. A new trailer was showcased during the event, giving fans a glimpse into the game’s new 3D art style, a departure from the pixel art used in the first game. The trailer demonstrated a well-executed transition to 3D graphics.

In “Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault,” players will continue to explore dungeons, fight enemies, and collect loot to sell in their shop, maintaining the core gameplay loop of the original. The game also introduces the ability to invest in the local village, allowing players to upgrade their weapons and equipment over time. This added layer of depth is expected to enhance the overall gaming experience.

Although an exact release date has not been announced, the summer 2025 window is anticipated to arrive relatively soon. The Northern Hemisphere’s seasonal calendar aligns with the developer’s location in Spain, ensuring that the summer release window is relevant.

“Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault” is set to be released as an early access title, giving players an opportunity to engage with the game during its development phase. This approach allows for community feedback and potentially shapes the final product.
