Recently we’ve discovered this Stray CJ mod and it looks both funny and scary. The main character from GTA: San Andreas appears to turn into a cat in this mod.
Since Stray is already available on PC, there are existing mods for the game, and since the game is about cats, many of those mods are based on custom “cat skins.”

Ah meow, here we go again!
Some of them have already been highlighted on this page, such as one that allows you to alter the playing cat’s color, but this one by sir_galahad172 is a little more overt. As is now traditional, CJ from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas takes the role of the cat.
“This mod is intended as a joke as CJ needs to be modded in any game that exists XD,” says the creator of the Stray CJ mod.
However, it is true that we greatly enjoy the story-telling opportunities presented here. Some have referred to CJ’s stilted appearance as “horrific,” but we prefer to imagine this as some wacky GTA side mission where CJ is cursed by a wicked wizard and is doomed to spend eternity slipping through other video game genres, experiencing everything they have to offer that San Andreas’ expansive landscape lacks.
With a wide variety of both serious and silly mods, the Stray modding scene has undoubtedly gotten off to a fast start. We’ll have to wait and see what else the community suggests, especially given Stray has only been out for four days.
How to download the Stray CJ mod?
All the cats from the opening share the same model as the player, so they have CJ’s new physique but not his textures. If you want to install the mod yourself, you can download it here. However, be aware that the first few minutes of the game may be a little uncomfortable.
