Today, we are going to be going over is a Bloodborne PC remake on its way, as there have been many rumors in the past years but no official announcement.

The PS4 game that has been on top of our port wishlist for eons is still stuck on the platform. Despite Sony’s growing PC library, including God of War and Horizon, FromSoftware’s beloved gothic action RPG remains just a tantalizing prospect. They all raise our expectations, but so far they’ve always let us down.

Today, we are going to be going over is a Bloodborne PC remake on its way, as there have been many rumors in the past years but no official announcement.
Is a Bloodborne PC remake on its way?

By 2020, there was almost total certainty that a PC version of Bloodborne would be announced. There was virtually no doubt that the game would be released on PC. But it didn’t happen. Now halfway into 2022, there’s another E3 season to get people talking, but no proof that Bloodborne will ever release on PC. Here’s everything we know about Sony’s plans for bringing Bloodborne to PC, as well as every rumor we’ve heard so far.

Playing Bloodborne on PC is possible

The remaster of Bloodborne, as well as a PC version, have yet to be announced by Sony. Despite this, the new PC ports of Sony games appear to be promising. With that in mind, it’s worth noting that you can play Bloodborne on PC with the help of the PlayStation Now PC app.

For those who aren’t aware, PlayStation Now is Sony’s game streaming service, and Bloodborne is one of the games available with it. In fact, Bloodborne is currently the most-played PSN title on PC. The only significant drawback is that the quality depends on your internet speed; games may look quite awful if your connection is not ideal. If you want to improve your Wi-Fi connection, be sure to check our guide on the subject.

Nvidia leak didn’t mention Bloodborne

In September 2021, a list of games in Nvidia’s GeForce Now database leaked, with one suggesting several unreleased upcoming titles. NVIDIAs claim that the games on the list are only theoretical, however, at least ten titles from the list have been revealed since September. It’s conceivable that some others will be canceled before they’re ever released, but the list is certainly genuine, and it contains many PlayStation games including Ghosts of Tsushima, Returnal, and Demon’s Souls. Not Bloodborne, though. So if Sony is working on a Bloodborne port, it either just began recently enough to be absent from the list or was kept extremely secret.

PC ports were made for many PlayStation games

In a February 2021 GQ Magazine interview, Jim Ryan casually responded that Sony would port more of its own first-party games to PC.

“Particularly from the latter half of the PS4 cycle our studios made some wonderful, great games,”

“There’s an opportunity to expose those great games to a wider audience and recognise the economics of game development, which are not always straightforward. The cost of making games goes up with each cycle, as the calibre of the IP has improved. Also, our ease of making it available to non-console owners has grown. So it’s a fairly straightforward decision for us to make.”

Several PlayStation games have already been released for PC. Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone are now available. God of War and the Uncharted collection will be released in 2022. Even the Last of Us remake will be making it to PC eventually. These are just a few of Sony’s most important exclusives.

Will Bloodborne ever come to PC?

Sony has yet to comment on Bloodborne and it hasn’t received a PS5 upgrade patch, either. One issue is that FromSoftware made the game. Elden Ring is being created by them, and it isn’t a Sony-owned studio like most first-party games. Is there anything wrong with a Bloodborne PC port? Hopefully not.

Bloodborne PC rumors

The latest rumors of a Bloodborne PC port are just that, rumors. They haven’t come true yet, and it’s been far too long now that they might be considered a “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” situation. Some rumors have circulated that the Bloodborne PC port is on its way, but there has been no leaked footage or photographs to back them up. There’s no public evidence of its existence, and no trustworthy leakers with sterling track records have given us any assurance of the port’s validity.

Beaucoup attendent une suite à Bloodborne mais cela n'arrivera pas. FS préfère se focaliser sur de nouvelles IPs

Every few months, a fresh rumor surfaces. In October 2021, Nick Baker of the Xbox Era podcast stated that:

“I’ve been told there’s a PC port that’s already done, and I think what’s happening with Bluepoint is, Bluepoint is doing the sequel. And I think Bluepoint might also be doing the console remaster of the first one. I think.”

Is there any truth to that information? It appears highly improbable that a PC version would be completed and unleased for more than six months.

Is a Bloodborne PC remake on its way?

In June 2020, streamer Casey Explosion claimed that a Bloodborne PC port by QLOC was supposed to be revealed at a PS5 event. The event was postponed indefinitely, and when it eventually took place, Bloodborne was nowhere to be found. There was no indication that the rumor had ever been anything more than a hoax in 2020.

Hey new followers.

So, about that Bloodborne PC port. You would've been hearing about it today anyway, because as far as I understand it, it was due to be announced at the now-delayed PS5 event that was scheduled for today. pic.twitter.com/93KOIlLr6D

What was confirmed was a PS5 remake of Demon’s Souls, another FromSoftware production. Was that the mystery all along? It’s possible, though Demon’s Souls was created by Bluepoint Games and a Dark Souls YouTuber claimed QLOC wasn’t working on a Bloodborne port.

What if it doesn’t happen? Yes, things could still go wrong. Were those 2020 or later 2021 rumors based on genuine, correct information? Perhaps, but it appears less likely with each passing day. So far, there haven’t been any big leaks or indications that a Bloodborne remaster is in the works; rather, there have been only whispers. Everyone wants Bloodborne on PC. For now, we’re just going to have to wait.
