Huawei presented two new monitors called MateView and MateView GT and today we are going to talk about their specs, price, and release date. The first one is a monitor for professionals and the second one is specially designed for gamers.

An external monitor with a high-resolution 3:2 display
The Huawei MateView is a stylish 28.2-inch 3:2 format monitor, intended primarily for professionals. The design is very minimalist, with aluminum finishes. Also, it offers the possibility to connect the monitor to a computer via USB-C.
We have a panel with a resolution equivalent to 4K but it is in a more square format, with 3,840 x 2,560 pixels.
There are almost no edges thanks to its 94% ratio. On the sides, bezels are 6 mm and 9.3 mm at the lower part. It is also an extra-thin monitor, with 9.3 mm at its thinnest area.
In the lower part, there’s a section dedicated to the wireless connection. Also there are two 5W speakers on the monitor.
MateView comes with a USB-C port, two USB-A ports, and an HDMI 2.0, plus a 3.5mm jack. It also has a 65W USB-C charging port, capable of powering laptops.
It comes with a 4K+ display that promises 98% of DCI-P3, a brightness of 500 nits, and support for professional VESA DisplayHDRTM 400 certification.

A 34-inch curved gaming monitor
The MateView GT model also has a very compact design, but it is clearly focused on another type of audience. We have a 34-inch panel with a 1500R curvature, a maximum brightness of 350 nits, and a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels.
The aspect ratio is 21:9 widescreen and comes with a 4,000:1 contrast with its VA panel. This one offers a 165Hz refresh rate.
As a differentiating feature, Huawei adds a soundbar at the bottom with dual 5W speakers and dual audio channels. This bar also serves as a sound control center.
Huawei MateView and MateView GT price and release date
The new Huawei MateView and MateView GT are coming to multiple global markets. The 28.2-inch, 4K+ resolution Huawei MateView will cost €699 (about $850) in Europe. The 34-inch MateView GT will be available for €549 ($660). We don’t know if these devices will reach the U.S market officially, so we have given the official prices for Europe.
