Reading the news has been the morning routine for many people and Google is looking to improve your experience by testing hashtags in its famous Discover feed. Discover is one of the simplest and most widely used apps on smartphones.
Google Discover now uses hashtags
The latest update of this application has added a new way to navigate between different news, the hashtags, they are used massively in social networks like Twitter.
This element appears as you can see in the image, at the bottom of each news, just below the image and the text. Sometimes there is only one label, but you can also see several hashtags related to the topic of the article.

For now, it is a feature that only some users have been able to see. Google is probably doing A/B tests in which it uses different elements for different groups of users and studies what works best.
Hopefully, soon this feature will be available worldwide, and more countries will be able to access this service.
