Apple introduced support for Siri AI and the Siri app with the release of watchOS 27 beta 3, enabling users to access these features directly from their Apple Watch. The capability was announced during the initial watchOS 27 reveal but was only activated in this latest beta version.

The Dynamic App Grid now shows the Siri app prominently when the Digital Crown is pressed, allowing the updated Siri to respond to queries and fulfill requests. Siri AI requires a nearby Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone for processing, with conversations synced across all devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Apple confirmed that watchOS 27 will not support the Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch Ultra (first generation), or Apple Watch SE (second generation). Only Apple Watch Series 9, Series 10, Series 11, Ultra 2, Ultra 3, and SE 3 are compatible with the update.

Additionally, Apple rectified a previous oversight by confirming that the Apple Watch Series 9 is indeed compatible with watchOS 27 after it was mistakenly omitted from the compatibility page. The company updated its website after the WWDC 2026 keynote to clarify the list of supported models.

In related news, Telegram launched a native Apple Watch app, allowing users to view and respond to messages from their wrist. The app includes functionalities for sharing stickers, voice messages, and location information. Telegram previously released an Apple Watch app in 2015, which was later removed from the App Store.
