Netflix will release its FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition game on June 11, targeting users amid the upcoming World Cup tournament. The streaming service previously announced in December that it would host a “reimagined FIFA football simulation game.” The FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition will be free for Netflix subscribers and allows players to control participants from all 48 teams in the 2026 World Cup using smartphones.
The game supports both solo play and multiplayer mode, accommodating up to four players. Netflix stated the game “will evolve over time” while providing an immediate soccer gaming experience during the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Football Manager 26 is also incorporating licensed content for the tournament. The game received its initial World Cup patch last month and is set for another update in June, prior to the tournament’s kickoff.
Despite ending its licensing arrangement with FIFA, EA Sports continues to engage with the world of football through “The World’s Game update.” This content, available as a free update for EA Sports FC 26 and EA Sports FC Mobile, features 53 fully licensed teams, including 41 that will compete in the World Cup this summer.
