Screenshots leaked online suggest that Anthropic is testing a full-stack app builder integrated within its Claude chatbot. This development could position Anthropic against established vibe-coding startups like Lovable.

The leaked images indicate that the app builder allows users to generate various applications, such as AI chatbots, photo albums, landing pages, and even games like Space Invaders, using simple text prompts. The interface reportedly includes features like live previews, integrated databases, authentication tools, user analytics, and a one-click deployment button, along with a backend panel for storage and authentication.

This tool differs from Claude Code, Anthropic’s existing command-line coding assistant, as it appears to be a visual, no-code solution designed for users to create software through conversational inputs. Sifted contacted both Anthropic and Lovable for comments, but neither company has provided a response.

If validated, this app builder would directly compete with Lovable, a notable player in the vibe-coding sector. Lovable raised $330 million in a Series B funding round in December 2025, achieving a valuation of $6.6 billion with investment from Alphabet’s CapitalG and Menlo Ventures. The company claimed $200 million in annual recurring revenue by November 2025 and noted it facilitates the creation of over 100,000 new projects daily on its platform.

Elena Verna, Lovable’s head of growth, acknowledged in a recent podcast that larger AI companies present a more significant competitive threat than other startups. “I always worry about the big boys and girls in the world — so OpenAIs, Anthropics, Googles, Apples — more so than our competitors that spring up from the bottom or sideways,” she stated.

This leak follows a challenging period for Anthropic, marked by a significant source code leak on March 31, where 512,000 lines of Claude Code were made publicly available due to a packaging error. This incident exposed Anthropic’s internal architecture, unreleased features, and its development roadmap. It revealed potential features like persistent background agents, session memory, and multi-agent collaboration, prompting the company to issue over 8,000 copyright takedown notices.

KeyBanc analyst Jackson Ader noted earlier this year that Anthropic’s foray into vertical tools suggests a broader strategic shift. “While today it’s legal tech, tomorrow it might be sales or marketing or finance,” Ader stated.
