Apple announced that its next Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will occur from June 8 to June 12, 2026, both online and at its headquarters in Cupertino, California. This year’s conference is expected to emphasize “AI advancements,” delivering updates for platforms such as iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS, alongside new software and developer tools.
The conference will be accessible via live streaming on the Apple Developer app, the company’s website, and the Apple Developer YouTube channel. In China, the event will also be streamed on the Apple Developer Bilibili channel. These measures aim to broaden the reach of WWDC, allowing developers and users globally to participate and access new announcements.
In previous years, including last year’s conference, Apple emphasized different themes, such as the “Liquid Glass” interface design, which did not prominently feature artificial intelligence. This year’s focus marks a notable shift, as Apple is anticipated to launch a new version of Siri equipped with advanced AI functionalities. Earlier in 2026, Apple signed a deal with Google to integrate Gemini, enhancing AI features across its platforms.
This year’s WWDC could present a revamped version of Siri capable of improved personal context awareness and on-screen interaction. At last year’s event, Apple introduced its Foundation Model framework, which incorporated AI models designed for offline use. It is expected that further advancements in this framework will be revealed during the upcoming conference.
Additionally, Apple has previously integrated coding models, including technologies like ChatGPT, into its Xcode development environment. Earlier in 2026, the company implemented agentic coding tools, such as Anthropic’s Claude Agent and OpenAI’s Codex, into Xcode, showcasing its commitment to enhancing developer capabilities through advanced AI solutions.
