Whisper Aero unveiled the T1 leaf blower under its Tone Outdoors sub-brand at CES 2026, targeting the persistent noise from gas-powered leaf blowers used for fall cleanup.

The device addresses complaints about the constant drone from neighborhood leaf blowers, which operate daily through early December in areas with maple and oak trees. The T1 delivers 880 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of airflow, exceeding the performance of common battery-powered models like the EGO. It operates at an average of 52 decibels at peak volume, a significant reduction compared to typical leaf blowers.

Tone Outdoors claims the T1 is 80 percent quieter and 60 percent more powerful than leading handheld gas leaf blowers. Demonstrations on the CES show floor confirmed the lower noise levels. The blower provides up to 50 minutes of runtime in Eco mode, surpassing mid-grade EGO models. A separate battery backpack, set for release in the first quarter of 2027 with pricing to be announced, will extend sessions for several hours.

Additional features include a built-in LED nightlight for low-light use. The quieter operation allows extended sessions without disturbing neighbors.

Whisper Aero developed the technology while working on quieter electric motors for aerospace applications. Engineers redesigned the fan and motor, reducing noise and improving efficiency. This approach has applications beyond aviation.

The T1 is available for preorder at $599, with shipments scheduled for September 2026. A limited-edition “Silence Is Golden” version costs an additional $100. Tone Outdoors has more models in development and a partnership with Stanley Black & Decker to create further products using the technology.
