Eight games are slated to depart from PlayStation Plus Extra on September 16th, 2025, according to Eurogamer. These titles are part of the Game Catalogue and distinct from the monthly games offered through PS Plus Essential, meaning they will become unplayable even if added to a user’s library.
The departing games include a diverse range of genres and platforms:
- UFC 5 (PS5)
- The Plucky Squire (PS5)
- Night in the Woods (PS5, PS4)
- Road 96 (PS5, PS4)
- Pistol Whip (PSVR2)
- Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir (PS4)
- FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch (PS5, PS4)
- Dragon’s Crown Pro (PS4)
Eurogamer’s Editorial Director, Tom Orry, recommends several of the departing titles. He specifically highlights “FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch,” praising it as a noteworthy Metroidvania. “Pistol Whip” is recommended for PSVR2 owners, and “The Plucky Squire” is suggested as worth exploring. Orry also notes that “Night in the Woods,” “Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir,” and “Dragon’s Crown Pro” are all high-quality games.
While Orry suggests prioritizing other titles, he advises against rushing to play “UFC 5” and expresses disappointment with the writing in “Road 96.”
