A recent leak reveals significant details about the Samsung Galaxy S25 lineup, including the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, ahead of a Samsung event scheduled for next week. The promotional material includes information about new AI features and design elements.

Galaxy S25 features and AI integration

The marketing material shared by Tecnoblog confirms that the Galaxy S25 series will integrate Google’s Gemini AI assistant. This integration will offer advanced cross-app functionality allowing users to extract details from YouTube videos and generate notes using a single command.

Samsung has introduced a new feature called “Now Brief,” which provides personalized daily summaries, including weather updates, activity recaps, suggestions, and more. These features aim to enhance the user experience significantly.

From now until January 22, leaks related to the Galaxy S25 are expected to emerge frequently, as Samsung has struggled to keep details about its flagship devices under wraps. The latest leak includes promotional materials that confirm various specifications related to camera setups, battery sizes, and designs for the S25 Plus and S25 Ultra.

An image from the leak indicates that users can activate the Galaxy S25 phones by saying “Hey, Gemini,” suggesting a deep integration between Samsung devices and Google’s AI assistant. This is a notable shift, as there were expectations of enhancements to Samsung’s Bixby assistant; however, it appears that Gemini will take priority instead.

The leaked promotional image illustrates that Gemini will perform tasks across multiple applications. For example, it can extract information from a YouTube video and create a Note from that information through a single command. Samsung previously showcased similar functionality in a recent YouTube teaser, although it wasn’t clear that Gemini would serve this role.

The “Now Brief” feature reportedly resembles the older Google Now function, summarizing users’ daily activities. The leaked images show that it will present users with cards containing information about the weather, feature usage suggestions, a recap of images taken throughout the day, daily activity goals, and other relevant updates. It is anticipated that AI will collate this information from various apps and connected Galaxy devices.

The recent marketing imagery has shifted from the traditional blue/purple glow to the four Google colors—blue, red, yellow, and green—reflecting a new branding direction for Gemini. The implied activation phrase “Hey Google Gemini” may merely serve marketing purposes; the command “Hey Gemini” is expected to be the standard for users.

One example command provided in the leak states: “list the places mentioned in this video and save a Note.” This suggests there will be a new Gemini extension for Samsung Notes, as current YouTube integration should manage the listing of locations, while Gemini currently supports only Google Keep.

Samsung hopes to extend these new Gemini extensions to existing devices. The enhanced Gemini overlay is anticipated to be officially announced alongside the Galaxy S25 at the upcoming event, with indications that the design has already begun to appear on some Pixel devices, signaling a wider rollout to follow soon.
