The Nintendo Switch 2 is rumored to be released in late March 2025, aligning with reports indicating the launch of first and third-party accessories on March 28, 2025. A precise announcement is expected in January.

A leak from the Italian website UAGNAclaims that the Nintendo Switch 2‘s accessories will debut on March 28, 2025. As accessory sales are lucrative, it is plausible that Nintendo would release these products simultaneously with the console.

The report suggests that Nintendo is expected to announce the console in January, followed closely by the late March release. This timeline diverges from Nintendo’s historical pattern of roughly four and a half months between announcement and release, such as with the original Switch, which was announced on October 20, 2016, and released on March 3, 2017. This time would propose a separation of approximately two and a half months for the Switch 2.

Another leak shared by Forbesindicates that the Nintendo Switch 2 may possess power levels comparable to the PS4 Pro. The current Nintendo Switch operates at PS3-level graphics. This speculation suggests a substantial advancement in console power, bringing it closer to contemporary gaming consoles.

However, it is reported that the enhanced power would primarily be utilized in docked mode, while in handheld mode, the power would resemble that of a base PS4. This aligns with the current Switch’s operation, which also features different performance levels depending on usage mode.
