Edtech firm TinyTap launches AI prompt features for educational games

TinyTap, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, has launched a host of new artificial intelligence (AI) features to help users create educational content and games on its platform.

Announced today, TinyTap, a leading edtech platform for user-generated interactive games, is launching a host of AI-based features to help create content on the platform. The AI features aim to ease the creation of educational content and games on TinyTap and transform how teachers, educators, and parents create the content. The features include a prompt-to-game feature, which was released today, and prompt-to-text/image, expected to launch in September. In future, the platform will also integrate a ‘Practice Anywhere’ AI tool to allow creators to generate educational games by simply keying in a YouTube URL or a media link.

Adding to the new AI features, the Animoca Brands’ subsidiary also announced the collaboration with Open Campus, a Web 3 online educational platform, to facilitate the integration of Publisher NFTs. These digital assets will provide novel ways for creators to monetize their content and introduce new capital-raising streams for investors in the educational sector.

The latest AI features will expand the edtech industry, similar to other industries, empowering creators to generate educational games faster and more efficiently. Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, believes introducing AI to TinyTap “marks a pivotal moment in the future of education”, providing learners and educators with futuristic opportunities in edtech.

“Integrating AI into TinyTap allows us to scale up educational opportunities with customized programs tailored for each learner,” Yat Siu said. “More efficiently produced content means a larger education library, which will also help teachers to earn more on TinyTap.”

TinyTap introduces new AI features on its platform

The first feature to be launched is the TinyTap AI ‘Prompt-to-Game’ beta version, allowing users to enter a topic prompt and generate a complete TinyTap educational game. The AI has been trained on over 250,000 games on TinyTap, over 100,000 creators and the millions of activities they have generated over the past 10 years. The AI generator is currently live on the TinyTap website, and everyone with an internet connection can use it. To see a live demo of how it works, see the video here.

The team is also planning the launch of TnyTap AI ‘Prompt-to-Text/Image’ this coming month. The AI feature will provide creators with a tool to create imagery and text from user prompts. This will provide creators with better educational games and graphics, making learning on TinyTap more interactive and exciting.

Finally, the TinyTap AI ‘Practice Everywhere’ feature will launch in the future, allowing users to turn existing media into learning material. The feature simply takes a video link and transcribes the content, then creates educational games based on the video to help kids understand the concept more. Powered by sound-to-text, text interpretation, and proprietary TinyTap generative AI drawing on its learning architecture and education content database, this feature aims to extend the kid’s knowledge beyond the classroom.

Speaking on the launch of the AI features, Yogev Shelly, CEO of TinyTap, said: “With its new AI-powered functions, TinyTap will make content creation faster and more accessible, enabling teachers and parents to provide a personalized learning experience for each child.”

Open Campus’ EDU tokens integrated on TinyTap

Adding to the AI features, TinyTap also announced deeper collaborations and connections with Open Campus, also associated with Animoca Brands. In the coming quarter, holders of Open Campus’ NFTs and its native, $EDU tokens, will be able to spend their holdings on TinyTap, allowing them to mint games and generate games using AI. The creators can also choose to mint the games as Publisher NFTs and put them on the Open Campus marketplace for interested co-publishers to buy.

These NFTs provide teachers, creators and parents an opportunity to earn from their games and receive a fair share of future earnings on their work.

“Through the power of AI and the strategic partnership with Open Campus, TinyTap is committed to creating innovative and accessible learning experiences that enrich the lives of children worldwide, and allow creators to earn a fair share from their creation,” stated Yat Siu.
