Armored Core 6 was recently launched, and people worldwide are playing it right now. The Armored Core 6 first boss causes problems to many players, and today, we will show you how to take it down, as well as more tips and tricks for you.

The initial boss encounter in Armored Core 6 features a challenge against the AH12: HC Helicopter, marking the game’s first notable difficulty spike. Overcoming this first boss in AC6 requires a strategy shift and applying your accumulated knowledge. Fortunately, the battle becomes manageable once you identify the AH12’s vulnerable points.

How to take down the Armored Core 6 first boss

Engaging the first boss in Armored Core 6 proves to be quite demanding. As expected, FromSoftware ramps up the challenge with the AH12 HC Helicopter. The minor Mechanical Types (MTs) you’ve encountered earlier were easy to handle, making the AH12’s initial victories surprising.

The difficulty in this fight stems from being limited to your default loadout. Using your missile launcher and rifle, your instinct might push you to maintain a distance. However, these tools lack the necessary damage output and ACS strain to defeat the AH12 rapidly. Instead, an aggressive approach while staying close to the boss is essential.

Why is Armored Core 6 not working: How to fix AC6 launch issues

This first boss battle teaches you that AC6 rewards boldness. Evading the HC Helicopter’s missiles by staying back isn’t ideal. Instead, the moment the battle commences, employ Assault Boost to close the distance and execute a pulse blade combo. Swift blade strikes followed by rifle and missile shots can stagger the boss, allowing a second or even third-blade combo to deal substantial damage.

With precise timing, you can stagger the first boss only 2-3 times to secure victory. But if you falter, don’t lose hope. You can seek refuge in the AH12’s blind spot directly beneath it. The helicopter struggles to hit you with its Gatling guns or missile volleys when you position yourself beneath it.

Don’t be surprised if overcoming the initial boss takes several attempts. This battle represents the most formidable challenge until the end of Chapter 1.

Tips and tricks

Diverging from previous foes, such as the MTs that proved relatively simple to defeat, the AH12 demands players to adapt and reshape their strategies due to its heightened capabilities and the imposition of using the default loadout. The unforeseen rise in difficulty and the necessity to employ diverse tactics make this battle a pivotal obstacle within the game.

While many players might initially opt for long-range combat, the rifle and missiles lack the potency required to vanquish the AH12 promptly. Instead of maintaining distance, embracing a more assertive approach is crucial. Utilizing Assault Boost to close in on the helicopter from the outset and executing a pulse blade combo, followed by rifle and missile strikes, can trigger a staggering effect on the boss, rendering it susceptible to significant damage.

Indeed, if players find themselves overwhelmed or in need of a breather, they can retreat beneath the AH12. This location serves as the helicopter’s blind spot, rendering it incapable of targeting players with its Gatling guns or missile barrages. This offers players a brief interval to regroup and devise their subsequent strategies.
