Instagram Dynamic Profile Photo lets you combine your avatar and profile photo
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Instagram Dynamic Profile Photo is one of the latest features that was introduced to the users by the social media giant. If you also want the hop on the bandwagon and create your new profile picture, you are at the right place. We will be giving all the necessary information for you!

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms for a while. It was acquired by Meta a couple of years ago, and since then, the application has announced new features. The last on the menu is a new profile picture update. From now on, users will be able to flip between profile photos and avatars thanks to the new Instagram Dynamic Profile Photo feature rather than being forced to see only one. Before this upgrade, users could only display one of the others’ profile pictures or their avatars. Users can now switch between the two. Now, let’s look at how to create our own Instagram Dynamic Profile Photo!

Now you can add your avatar to the other side of your pic — and people who visit your profile can flip between the two 🪙 pic.twitter.com/hEyzW4G19W

How to make your own Instagram Dynamic Profile Photo?

We assume you have an Instagram account, considering you are looking for the latest application feature; we’ll just skip the first step of creating an account. Making your dynamic profile photo is very easy if you could upload a classic profile photo in the past because the steps are not very different from them. If you follow the steps below without skipping any of them, you can make your own Instagram Dynamic Profile Photo without any issues. Here are the steps:

  • First, go and open the Instagram application on your phone.
  • Go to your profile page at the bottom of your screen. ( Click on your profile picture, which is located at the bottom right of your screen)
  • Right below your profile picture, click on the Edit Profile button.
  • On the new page, click on Create Avatar, which is located at the top.
  • First, you will need to create your avatar. Select whichever skin tone, hairstyle, or outfit you want to choose and customize our avatar however you want.
  • After you are done customizing your avatar, tap on Done
  • Congratulations, you have successfully created your avatar!

The steps are very easy, as seen above. Especially if you are familiar with Snapchat, you will notice that it is almost the same as creating your own Bitmoji. On a side note, if you already have an avatar linked to your Facebook account, you could also use the same on Instagram as both applications work together. If you wish to edit the avatar you have on Facebook, follow the steps above and customize it however you want.

Instagram has also introduced the Quite Mode, which aims to help people focus.

Instagram introduced the avatar feature around a year ago to challenge Snapchat’s Bitmoji idea and add the feature for its users. Even though Instagram users have been able to use the avatar option for a while, the dynamic feature was released with the latest update. As mentioned above, users could either use their classic profile picture or avatar on their profiles. From now on, whoever visits your profile will be able to see your profile picture and your avatar waving back at them. The waving animation is also one of the newest features that the company has released. Before the update, avatars didn’t have animations. With the Instagram Dynamic Profile Photo feature, your profile will look cooler for the visitors!

Apart from the Instagram Dynamic Profile Picture feature, the company also announced the new Quite Mode a while ago. It helps people focus on their jobs or studies rather than checking out the app. Instagram has been actively introducing new features, and we are excited to see what is going for the users!
