On December 1 at 7:00 p.m. local time, the Xiaomi 13 series will be released in China. While specifics regarding the two phones are still unknown, the official teaser poster shows that the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a curved display and the Xiaomi 13 has a flat display. The Xiaomi Watch S2 and Xiaomi Buds 4 may also debunk at the event.

The business has also stated that a customized high-end OLED “direct screen” will be included with the Xiaomi 13 series. Additionally, the bezels of the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will be incredibly thin. The Xiaomi 13 series will also be dust and water-resistant, earning an IP68 designation. Notably, the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro choose to accept an inferior IP53 classification for splash protection.

Previous rumors suggested that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU would power the Xiaomi 13 series. Additionally, we can anticipate combining the chip with up to 12GB of RAM.

The 50MP Sony IMX989 primary camera with a 1-inch sensor size is most likely to be used by the Xiaomi 13 Pro. A 50 MP ultrawide and 50 MP telephoto camera are also anticipated for the phone. The phone could choose to have a 32 MP selfie camera on the front. While the standard Xiaomi 13 model may only be capable of 67W of cable charging, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is anticipated to support 120W.

MIUI 14 release date and expected features

The MIUI 14 update will arrive on December 1, 2022. There is currently no official information available about the features of MIUI 14. A new and improved control center, lock screen, wallpaper system, multitasking experience, system stability, battery efficiency, and customization options are all to be expected.   • The text recognition tool in MIUI 14 makes it easier to copy text from pictures and photos swiftly.
  • The “On this day” feature in the new Gallery app displays memories from the previous year.
  • Directly from the Notification shade, disable notifications.
  • Calls, messages, and apps are filtered with anti-fraud protection incorporated.
  • Support for Bluetooth LE Audio.
  • Redesigns of the assistant and clock.

MIUI 14 Supported Devices

Many phones from the Xiaomi family, including the Mi, Redmi, and Poco models, will come with MIUI 14. Regarding the devices that MIUI 14 will support, the Redmi K50 series, Xiaomi 12 series, Xiaomi 11 series, Xiaomi 12T series, Redmi Note 11 series, POCO F3 GT, and several smartphones from 2021–2022, among others, will all get the MIUI 14 update. Xiaomi will also provide the MIUI 14 upgrade for a few older smartphones.
