How much is the Equifax Settlement per person 2022?

Customers can choose between receiving up to $125 or receiving free credit monitoring. Under the terms of the settlement, you are entitled to free credit monitoring services.

Equifax will provide up to six extra years of free one-bureau credit monitoring, and Experian will provide at least four years of credit monitoring at each of the three major agencies and $1,000,000 in identity theft insurance. If you were minor in May 2017, you are eligible for a total of 18 years of free credit monitoring. Check out the FTC notice for more details.

The administrator of the settlement is now reviewing time and out-of-pocket loss claims. If further information is needed for your claim, the administrator will contact you by email or letter. The settlement administrator also notifies clients who are eligible for a settlement payout to propose additional payment options.

To be eligible for either free credit monitoring or monetary reimbursement, you must make a claim (or both). You can file a claim either online or via email.
