How many Sherlock Holmes movies are there with Robert Downey Jr.?

This isn’t the first time a Downey-led Sherlock Holmes cinematic universe has been suggested. In late 2020, Downey Jr. revealed that he wanted to build several spinoffs from the third installment of the series. Downey has played the iconic detective in 2009’s Sherlock Holmes, as well as the 2011 sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
