Twitter users will be able to add their Ethereum addresses as a mobile tipping option. This way Twitter is giving users a new way to support content creators on their platform.

The recent update by Twitter was announced on Wednesday. This move comes a few months after the popular social media platform officially introduced the Lightning Network, which enables users to send Bitcoin tips.

The latest feature is likely a sign of the widening relationship between Twitter and cryptocurrency. Earlier this month, the platform enabled its Blue subscription service members to verify their non-fungible token profile pictures.
